I first want to thank everyone who's read my stories and/or expressed interest in a follow-up to "Lady of My Heart." Originally, "Chances Are" was supposed to be the end of the trilogy, but, man, you guys are persistent. :-)
Thank you to ~p, Steph, Kris, CLEO, Myra, Nick, Steve, and Gen. Your characters inspire me, and your words of encouragement keep me writing, even when I feel like giving up. ~p -- I'm YOUR biggest fan. Steph -- You've got SO much talent. You're definitely going places. Kris and CLEO -- Your writing astounds and moves me. You have one of the best series going out there. (Taylor and Robin forever. Just HAD to throw that in there...) Myra -- Your stories have showed me that, just maybe, I, too, can write a story that focuses on all three brothers. Thanks for your encouragement... Nick -- After reading your story, I decided to make "And So It Goes" more than just another love story... Steve -- You, my friend, kick butt. :-) And not just because you signed the guestbook, either... Gen -- Another persistent one. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write another Zac-centered story. I just hope you enjoyed it...
Catherine, you crack me up. And even though we don't get to chat much, I always enjoy it when we do. I love getting your perspective on... well... everything. :-)
Kristen, you've been such a source of inspiration for this story. You can't even imagine... You have such an amazing amount of talent. Your writing... Wow... Just... wow... I love chatting with you, and can't wait to read more stories by you. *hint, hint*
Amanda, thanks for inspiring me, and making me smile and laugh. And I'm SO glad your story is back up. You gave me quite a scare, there! :-) And I love chatting with you, so even though the story is done, keep those IMs coming!
Amanda D., you, my friend, need to take a vacation. :-) Thanks for all your imput, criticisms, and strolling down memory lane with me. And a HUGE thank you for asking me to be a part of Hansonfiction.com. It's been a pleaure both knowing and working with you. And good luck, now that you're out in the real world. :-)
Jackie, you are just too awesome for words. :-) I can't begin to thank you enough for everything. Our discussions about anything and everything helped keep me sane when everything else in my life felt like it was spinning out of control. School's been crazy, but you've always been there. Thank you. :-)
Lucy, the BEST roommate anyone could EVER ask for. I can't believe you're leaving me. What did you have to go and graduate for? :-) Thanks for putting up with me, for dealing with my "inner-teenie," for sharing my Aerosmith experiences with me, those late-night chats, for letting me lean on you, and for your friendship. And remember, no matter where you are, you will ALWAYS be my sister.
Stephanie, my favorite (and only) sister, I don't know where to begin. It's took us a while to get there, but I'm so glad we're friends. Thanks for reminding me that our house will always be my home, no matter where I am, and always making me feel welcome. Thanks for making me laugh. You're too funny for words... :-) Thanks for your shoulder and ear. I don't know where I would be without them... And, of course, thanks for making me listen to all of Middle of Nowhere. Probably none of this would exist without you, and your encouragement. I love you.
This story is dedicated to Jenn. (Don't cry on me, now. Heehee...) Seriously, Jenn, I can't thank you enough for everything, EVERYTHING. You know this story wouldn't even be up if it wasn't for you, right? I mean it. Who read all those chapters I was unsure of? Who proofread for me? Who helped make Chapter 19 moving and readable? You did. You let me send you dozens upon DOZENS of emails with all my fears about the story. You gave me confidence boosts when I needed them. And Chapter 29 is dedicated to you. It would've been NOTHING without you. You dragged out of me what I didn't even know I had inside. I thought I had used up all my favors over the summer, but, for some reason, you stuck around, and I'm SO grateful you did. I am forever in awe of your AMAZING writing ability. Thank you for sharing your gift with everyone, and your friendship. :-)
And, even though they'll most likely NEVER come across this, I'd like to not only thank Hanson, but dedicate this story to them, as well. I know everyone says you inspire them. You've inspired me, too. But you've also helped me come to terms with so much that I went through when I was young. I entered college feeling resentful towards myself, and the choices I made in the past. I was spiraling downwards. And then, something happened. I saw the video for "Mmmbop," and slowly became a Hanson fan. As I watched your countless appearances and videos, I came to realize something. My experiences, both good and bad, are precious memories, gems, if you will. The choices I've made and the experiences I've had molded me into the person I am today. I can only hope and pray that years down the road, you don't feel any of the resentment I felt. And I have faith, that no matter what curve balls life throws you, your music will help get you through, just like it has for so many others.
Much luck and happiness,
Karen :-)
