Where did we lose it?

This is so fucking sick.

And I do not use that word lightly. I find it rude, crass, and blatantly vulgar. A bit like the recent "attacks." We've all heard of them. We all know that in San Francisco and now in Florida, so-
called fans have jumped on stage with Hanson. Whatever their reason, whether to "get a piece" or just to have the notoriety, accosting the band is just disgusting. I cannot think of another word that truly defines it. All of the other adjectives that come to mind
(disrespectful, ignorant, pointless, rude, hateful) don't seem to capture my feelings better than that one simple four letter word: "sick."

It literally turns my stomach to know that there are people (they call themselves fans, no less) that find the thought of jumping on stage appealing. Even worse is the fact that they are supported! After the San Francisco incident, the official message boards were aflame with posts actually APPLAUDING the girl. I was appalled.

What happened to decent human conduct? I cannot even begin to
understand the thoughts that must have been going through these
people's heads. What ideas could possibly bring them to the idea
that accosting their "favorite band" was cool? Do they honestly
believe that kicking, kissing, and generally attacking someone they
supposedly "love" will get them anything?

Obviously, they never stopped to think about the consequences of
their actions. They didn't think about the fact that they reflect badly upon the entire fan base. They didn't think about the fact that their utter disrespect is hateful and mean spirited. They didn't think about the fact that they terrified three young men who have done nothing but try to make them happy.

Everything that Hanson does is for the fans. They give up so much of themselves to us: their time, their energy, their passion. And at
times, I'm sure, their sanity. Just imagine their lives. They can't go to a restaurant, walk down the street, leave their house, without it becoming a big production. And they do it for US.

This is how they're repaid?

Fucking sick.
