Hark! I have updated with a new chapter of Genuine Need. So, if anyone is still out there, it's up now. ;)

New chapter of Genuine Need up. Am working on other things as well, such as Thiveni's story and a new collaboration called "Eden" with a bunch of other authors: Krystal, Stephanie, Eve, Gina, Leigh, and one or two others TBA. It's an experimental sort of thing, and not up yet, but I will let you know when we have a link up and running. :)

Yeeesh! The holidays are nuts. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and Christmas is just around the corner. I hope you are all having a lovely holiday season, despite its many stresses. :) I, for one, am almost done with my Christmas shopping, so that's a big relief to me. Although I can't seem to quit buying things. :| This could be bad for my credit card. Heh.
So, I wanted to give you all a little update. Krystal and Stephanie put together the Hanson Advent Calendar for 2006. It's not just fanfic, it includes graphics and recipes on some days. And I believe they will still accept submissions, if anyone is interested in contributing. I am writing a short Catapult-related vignette for it, and my piece will be up on the 23rd. You can tell by the icon. :) hahaha. I am also working on both Thiveni's short story AND on a request for Kim, because she actually ended having the 100,000th screencap (and due to a faulty internet connection, had to send it several days late). So, yes. Busy, busy, busy. :) But still here.

And so I have a winner for the 100K contest! It's Thiveni S., who was the first (and lowest) to send me a screencap. :) Thanks to all who were trying -- I went to my parents this weekend for my Dad's birthday, and I thought I wouldn't hit 100,000 for another week... but apparently there was a mad dash for the finish, since I got like 1,000 hits on Friday alone. At any rate, I will be conferring with Thiveni and then writing her a short story, so keep your eyes out for that. :)

Damn, look at all these
updates. :) hahaha. You may notice that the home page keeps changing around. I'm
experimenting. :) I've been wanting a frame/scroll bar right here for eons, so
that my little ramblings here don't stretch the page down, and I believe I've
finally done it. So, don't be surprised if stuff on this site changes around a
lot now. I'm hard to please. :) Anyway...
I've come up with an idea. So, some of you have noticed that my site is almost at 100,000 hits. That's amazing. Seriously, that blows my mind. And so, because I am grateful to everyone who visits and reads my stuff, and because I know that this site has been somewhat dormant for awhile, I've decided to have a contest of sorts. I will write a short story (max: 10 pages) for my 100,000th visitor. The visitor chooses their main fanfic characters, the type of story they want (i.e., humor, romance, drama, etc), and I will attempt to write them their own commissioned story. Does that make sense? Since I'm limiting it to 10 pages, it can't be a big epic or anything, but that should be enough length to fill out a nice little short piece or extended vignette.
So, here's how it's going to work. Since I'll need proof that you're really the 100,000 visitor (to be fair and all, not that I don't trust you guys ;)), I'm asking that you take a screen capture of this page, showing the counter below. There are two ways to do this: with the PrntScrn button on your keyboard, or with screencap software. I've found a FREE download of AndySnap, a simple, screencap program that's easy to use. It's at download.com, and you can click on this little box below to go download it. And again, it's FREE. :D
Okay. To read more about this, how to take a screencap with either method, the rules, etc, all that junk, click here. Or, visit the "IMAGINE'S 100K VISITOR CONTEST" link over on the left. :) Woo! Should be fun. :D

Hey. I've been talking about my ridiculously long Live & Electric review for more than a year, and I am pleased to announce that it is finally up and running for public consumption. :) Those of you on my LJ read it in bits and pieces in the months following L&E, but here it is all together, in one piece. It's linked under 'Rants & Raves', if you're curious. Check it out here!
I also added a drawing of Angel that the lovely Jen Chadd drew for me. :) It's under 'artwork'.

Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!
Okay, that was stupid. But hey. If you're here, then you have discovered the new home of IMAGINE. I began with a long stint in the crappy abyss of Geocities waaaay back in October of 2001. I languished there for many a year -- three, to be exact -- before being rescued by Cyndi over at together-alone.net. She helped me move all my stuff over there and my foray into pop-up-ad-less websitedom began.
I decided to move my site again for a few reasons. I lost my ftp password to t-a.net, and despite repeated attempts to have the provider send a new one, no such luck. Which left me with no way to update my site. And basically, I just got tired of waiting. I had a lot of new material to post (much of it my Angel fic, which is currently in progress), I wanted to do some rearranging, and I didn't want to keep asking Cyndi to do it for me. Luckily, Llama (Amanda) had some room over here at hansonfiction.com, so I had a place to move to.
Also, I know that Cyndi has lost interest in hanfic for the most part, and while she was willing to keep the site going, I didn't feel right using it when she wasn't even going to be writing stories anymore. Catapult will be kept there, I think, as an archive (since that's the address everyone knows, I don't want people to visit it and then discover that nothing's there), but I'm also moving it over here. Any changes I make to the story, or any 'extras' I add will be done here.
So, anyway. That's what's going on. And now that I'm moved into my new home, hopefully updates will be on a much more frequent basis. :) I gave this front page a very minor makeover in the process, just because I was kinda tired of the old one, but not willing to go all out and totally change everything. Maybe if I was any good at graphics or web design I could make it look cooler, but no such luck. :)
And hopefully Hanson will put out some new music that inspires me to write some hanfic soon. In the meantime, I plan to start putting up my Live & Electric review from last year (I know, I know, I've had it done since March but have been unable to post). And if any of you are interested in reading about a beautiful blonde man with wings (heh), then check out my fic Genuine Need, for which I have made a little page on this site, as well as its place on fanfiction.net. Hmm, what else. I also updated 'the artwork' section of the site. :)
