Rhiannon Mary Lougher, at the time of the story, would be fifteen. She is tall, with dark brown hair just past her waist, and even darker eyes. She is fairly quiet and reserved when it comes down to it. She was a good friend of the Hansons, and Taylor's best friend. When she was eight, she suffered from schizophrenia, and was sent to a treatment centre. A year later she was released, but she had lost much of her memory. Rhiannon has been dead for the past two years, but she lives on through her diary and Taylor's memory . . .

Rachael Iseult is Rhiannon's younger sister. She's nine years old, tall (for her age), with blue eyes and the dark brown hair that all the Lougher's share. Rachael is good friends with Jessica and Avery Hanson. She's not a typical nine year old, often speaking as if she were older, often perceiving things as if she were much younger. She's growing up looking more like Rhiannon every day . . .

Eighteen year old Carlton Myrddin is Rhiannon's older brother. Like all the Lougher's, he's tall with dark brown hair cut just above his shoulder and his mother's blue eyes. He's the full-back for the local football team and used to be good friends with Isaac, but since Rhiannon's death, he's refused to talk to any of the Hansons and despises Taylor . . .

Rhiannon's parents. Llewelyn and Arianhrod Lougher - affectionately known as Lew and Arian - moved when they first got married from Wales to Oklahoma. The only reminders they have of their home country are their accents and their children's Welsh names. Firm but fairly easy-going, they have tried to accept what has happened and get on with their lives. Not that it's really worked . . .

Rhiannon's best friend. Elisabette - or Liz - is neither tall nor short, neither chubby nor skinny. She's just . . . Elisabette. Her ash-brown hair falls down around her thighs, and her amber eyes are large and expressive. She's the resident baby-sitter at the Hanson house. Elisabette is a bit of a square, much preferring work to play, but Rhiannon once brought out the best in her best friend . . .

Tessa Killaré Baxter is Isaac's sixteen year old on-again, off-again, girlfriend of three years, who was previously dating Carlton. She's on the short side, with an almost super-model figure, white-blonde hair that on first glance looks bleached and smoky-grey eyes. She's gorgeous, but perhaps, too much for her own good? According to Isaac, she's extremely smart, although there's always cause for wonder . . .
