Run Like Hell You better run like hell
You better make your face up in
Your favourite disguise
with Your button down lips
and Your roller blind eyes
with Your empty smile
and Your hungry heart
feel the bile rising from Your guilty past
with Your nerves in tatters
when the cockleshell shatters
and the hammers batter
down the door
You better run
[You better run all day]
[and run all night]
[and keep Your dirty feelings deep inside]
[and if You're taking your girlfriend out tonight]
[You better park the car well out of sight]
[cos if they catch You in the back-seat]
[trying to pick her locks]
[they're gonna send You back to mother]
[in a cardboard box]
[You better run]
[used in Cortnée's childhood – ch.6, 'Mother']
Taylor is dragged up to a room where Pink Floyd is addressing the guards and Tay through a televised screen. Tay calls Pink a coward, Pink basically just shrugs and starts addressing the guards about what they're to do with Taylor (and it's not pretty). Tay recalls that Cortnée told him something about his tears being more than he could handle, so he forces himself to cry and call for Cortnée. The guards can see the battle that's going on in Floyd and one knocks Taylor upside the head to shut him up. That brings an outraged Cortnée to the forefront demanding the guards off and out of the room. After a short conversation, Tay tells him that he has to run; despondent, Cortnée asks where. Intercut with scenes from the rebels' victory – they are tired and weary, not at all joyous.
Cortnée = 26; Isaac = 21; Taylor = 18; Zac = 16
