‘Just Another Victim’ is a Hanfic classic. No doubt about it. If you’re into fanfiction, you’ve probably read it. If not, all I can say is that you are in for a real treat.

It starts out with Hanson being on the road, and weird things are happening to Taylor. What he thinks are strange dreams turn out to be all too real. I can’t say much about that without giving away some of the more exciting parts of the beginning of the story, and I wouldn’t want to ruin that for you.

Taylor soon finds himself caught up in the vampire world. This epic story follows him through that world and all the tragedy that it brings to his family’s life. But really, this isn’t just a dark story. Of course, it has it’s truly dark, terrifying moments, but it’s also full of funny, light-hearted moments that will make you smile.

While Taylor tries to hold on to his innocence and his human nature, forces beyond his control are trying to make him into something he does not want to be. His new vampire ‘friends’ are making his life a living hell; and, although he can’t stand what they are doing to him, he ends up liking them in the end. Funny thing is, we, the readers, like them too. After all, they didn’t really mean to drag him into their world, but once they did, all bets were off.

We truly get to know these characters throughout the story, and that can be attributed to Krystal’s fantastic writing skills. She breaths life into each and every character, and lets us get to know them. Her vampire world is not that of the typical myth. In her vampire world, the vampires only drink from humans. They rarely kill them. That is probably a big part of why we are able to like them, and really, that’s a good thing because the vampires are as interesting as the Hanson characters.

This story is full of suspense, action, terror, humor and just about everything else you could possibly want. I know some people are probably put off by the fact that it’s a vampire story. Some people just don’t like that sort of thing, but give this story a chance. There’s a lot of hansony stuff in there that will keep you interested even if vampires are not your thing. If nothing else, Taylor gets to kick some ass every now and then, and I know you have to like that. ‘Just Another Victim’ is (to use Taylor’s favorite word) amazing. I love it and you’ll love it too.
