Story Links

There are about, oh, two hundred million Hanson stories out there. I think this is pretty bloody cool. If there are any links that you think I should totally have here, your own or someone else's, just drop me a line and we'll talk. If you're just embarking into the wonderful world of fan fiction these are a few good places to start off:

New! Pretty Much Forever- One of the most endearing presentations of a youthful Taylor I've ever seen, this story is skillfully told in a way that brings not only Hanson but also their strong supporting cast completely to life.

New! My Mother's Obsession with Pies- Don't let the beyond-odd name fool you: this story is incredibly witty and very worth a read. It revolves around the relationship between an oh-so-quirky next door neighbor and the Hanson family, and showcases fast-paced, clever dialogue.

New! Angels Would Fall- Exactly how amazing is this story, its sequel, and the other writing on this site? So amazing that it's on Hf.c even though it includes Nsync fiction ;) Very adult content-filled portrayal of an incredibly poignant love triangle. Great stuff.

Bean- I've known the author of this story for quite awhile and I've long known that when she finally got around to writing and posting fanfic, it would be *good* stuff. I was right, of course ;) There are only two chapters up to date, but they're two well written and completely innovative chapters which I can't wait to see multiply!

The Pain of Awakening- Isaac Hanson off to college in Boston? An intriguing take on the world beyond the band for the eldest Hanson..

You Might Be the World- A story that is well aware that it builds on what might be considered the stereotypical Hanfic plotline, but does it so beautifully as to redefine the standard.   From the fanfic acknowledging beginning to the potentially painfully true-to life later chapters, a must read.

Game to You- Out of all of the ridiculous number of Hanson stories I've read, I have to say that this ongoing (but rarely updated) story is the most realistic. It's a take on love one rarely sees in fanfic... one tempered by reality ;)

A Matter of Pride- Home to a number of worthy fanfics, this hugely improved author writes a mean Zac, and a glorious story.

Devil Angel- Okay. So there are Moffatts in it. Okay. So it's graphic. Okay, so it's... umm.. perfect? One of the most poignant love stories going.

If They Knew- The Golden age of Zacs in hanfic comes to full expansion of its golden-hood in this incredibly thoughtful story.  If there's anything that could make my new fondness for the youngest Hanson grow, it's the sensitive portrayal he receives from this young author.

Bright and Beautiful- A deeply hysterical page run by a group of fellow New Englanders who attended Mayfest '99. Here find ye: stories, fashion police, the meanings of mmmbop and life (arranged in order of importance, no doubt) as well as How to Upset Walker 101.

Hanson Horizon- This site is perhaps the most innovative thing to hit the internet in.. well, forever. My favorite part is "one or two things I know about him," an *insanely* precious Zac based excursion into graphics frontiers. "What are you, a mama's boy?" hehe... awww....

Holding Onto Nothing- A ray of hope in the darkness of fanfic ;)  This is an extraordinarily well written story, and you should really take me seriously when I say that because it doesn't even include love! The characters are well developed and totally likeable, the plot is original, and the detail is great.

It isn't nice to gawk- Site devoted to adult Hanson fiction.  Decidedly not for the squeamish, but very good reading for the more adventurous amongst us.  A wide variety of stories are included here, all well written and one hundred percent entertaining.

It's Just Another Sequel- There is an original story that goes with this sequel, but I recommend skipping ahead. You can tell from the opening paragraph this is going to be amazing...

Something To Talk About - A charming story that is frequently updated and quite endearing.  It's set in the future, and is mostly focused around Zac, but for some reason I can *so* clearly hear Taylor calling someone "Tee-baby."

Someone to Walk With- An *intriguing* story set in the future, based largely around two stages of Zac's life: early adulthood and post divorce. Great reading.

Emotional Times- I'm quite fond of this story which first seemed to be focused on Taylor and a childhood friend, but is now shifting to include Isaac.  It could use some punctuation... hehe... but beyond that it's totally worth the read.

Les Trois Freres- My goodness! All those years of French class finally prove helpful. It means "the three brothers!"  Check out this newsletter based on Hansonfiction and its authors!

Hanson Stories and Links -this will theoretically take you to what was once known as Kim's Hanson stories. Think of it as a compendium, nay, an encyclopedia of all the Hanson fiction out there. Let's put it this way. If you were to start reading now you'd be receiving social security by the time you finished.

*Retired* Tulsa 74132 - The definitive Hanson Story, dating back to July of 1997.  It's hysterical, and everyone in the world has read it. At least once! ;)

Walls - A story dealing with a serious topic.  Well written, and in possession of several scenes so good they evoke goosebumps.

azureina 's opinions and stuff- Home to the continuation of a story hosted here, as well as much other fascinating information.

Ups and Downs - This was one of my first Hanson fiction experiences, and to this day I still adore it. It was left un-updated for a long time, and even totally taken down, but now its author is slowly reworking and posting a new version.  It's a great read, and also a great description of Tulsa as it really is.

Nothing Moves at Midnight- Well written, original plot, amazing characterizations.  What are you still *doing* here?

For What It's Worth - Well written, humorous fanfic with a lovey-twist.  A perfect read.

Zac Says Tay Still Wets the Bed- and the winner for the longest title in all of fanfic is... an excellent read. A great sense of humor interwoven into a tense plot make this a must see for all fanfic fans. Also check out Nick's newly begun story which is also hosted on this page

Myra's Stories-  A collection of some of the best hanfic reading, generally tending to be relatively lengthy and dealing with mature concepts.

A Tale of Three Brothers- An extraordinarily well written trio of hanson stories, one focused on each bother of the band.

Long Road To Baghdad- A highly unusual story in which the members of Hanson take on military roles in a middle-eastern combat situation.

*Retired* I'm not a Playa- An extremely adult story that appears to be written seriously but is just full of chuckles.

Stay -  A lengthy, well written work examining brotherly sharing and the growth from friendship to love.  Adult content.

A Hidden Life - A great site that mixes Hanson and learning through theoretical discussions of books. Included are a few definitely Hanson related works, including a book Taylor is quoted as having read recently, "Atlas Shrugged."  Another original idea well executed!

Running- An unconventionally written Taylor story that should definitely be read.  This fiction takes the actual literary merit to be found in existing hanfic and expands upon it, adding a uniquely fascinating voice to a mature story line to equal to hooves up ;)

Now Tell Us What You Heard-  Okay. Now, were I to kidnap Hanson what would I want to do with them? (heehee.. excuse me! Get your mind out of the gutter! I'm not that kind of llama)  I'd make them read this story.  The beginning may throw you a little, but promise me, dearest, that you will read it through.  It's not that long... but it gives Hanson fans the most accurate voice I've ever come across. That's me in there... that's you. READ IT. NOW. ;)

Night Fire- An incomplete Hanson story with extreme adult content. Well written, but consider yourselves warned.

The Red Candy Cycle - A great group of stories written from an older woman's point of view.  They're composed in a very "gen-X" kind of style, and give Taylor a personality like no other in fanfic.

Hanson Author Rights- Home to a very fitting Bill of Hanfic rights (maybe someday they'll had habeas corpus..hehe) and a guestbook full of story links.

*Retired* Kayla's Haven- A page that dates back to early summer 1997. One of the first sites for well written Hanson fiction, recently shut down, but writings still available.

Blonde Over Blue A story that broke some early rules of fanfic, depicting with more reality a relationship between Taylor and its female narrator. It and several other stories on this page are excellent reading.

Endless Ramble- A dark, cyberpunk meets wicca Hanson story.

The Window Seat - Four well written stories, with varying topics. Especially recommended is She is Me, a story which includes a little love and an interesting sibling relationship.

Stars- A young, non-famous story that's a fun read.

Hansonstories- Home to Hanson in Space, a creative and amusing tale involving Weird Al.

More Than Anything- An addicting fictional work centered around Isaac's relationship with an older woman.

Hanson Through My Eyes- A long story which blends factual details into a fictional tale revolving around Hanson and their temporary nanny.

Hanfic Central- The highly original comedic story called "Never Ending Soap Opera" can be found here.

HansonZine- A site totally devoted to Hanson fiction, including hosted stories and  a story written by several of its staff members that are worth reading.

Jilly's Story page- Not only is the webmistress an amazing writer, but she's got a knack for finding the most amazing fiction to host.  This site is full of must reads :)

To Make me Who I Am A well written and recently completed story that deserves attention.

*Retired* SunnyHell's Hanson stories - Engaging stories, especially "penumbra".

The Madeline Saga- One of the first interactive Hanson fiction stories. It's been closed for quite some time now, but it's still available to read, and worth the effort, too.

A Little Bit of You - A beautifully romantic story to read, but also remember to check out Hanna's stories of her multiple Hanson concerts.  ::grr:: llama's jealous.

The Consequences of My Imagination  This page is home to one completed longish-story and another unfinished one.  I definitely recommend Shadows of the Sun, but have yet to read the other story.

HansonHotel- Is there nothing this site doesn't have? A hotspot for Hanson information, but also home to a well written interactive story known as "Sweet Daze".

MMMButt- This has got to be the funniest page on the web. What more deserving topic is there, after all, than Taylor's butt? While I personally find it rather scrawny, the webmaster here has examined every angle and believes it to be lacking in nothing. Mwhaha... the story is just the icing on the cake. Make sure you don't miss the shirtless taylor encounter ;)

The Crackerjack palace - I'm hoping that you guys found this site before I did.. it's been around for quite awhile but I just recently went and realized how thoroughly amazing this stories of this grown up sister pair are!

MAC's Sarcasm Emporium -  Well, it doesn't have a story. I'm sorry. But if you go check out the reviews that grace this page you'll probably forgive me for putting it in my story links. They're *hilarious*, perhaps even, dare I say, resembling the Page of Honest Opinions girls with their wicked sense of humor.

Hold me know so I never drown - Well, the title is a mouthful. This story is a mindful...and because of this totally worth reading :)

Ultimate Hanson Links Page- A comprehensive links page, including a list of story sites. Not updated frequently, though.

Non- Story Links:

new Children of the Mmmbop- Home to a heretofore unimagined wealth of pre-fame Hanson material. Be sure you don't miss the business card amongst the rare pictures and wavs!

A great selection of official merchandise from Hanson's current tour can be found at Hanson-Store.com (they made me say this, the monsters!)

Into The Great Wide Hanson- A great site run by a fellow adult Hanson fan... full of *must see* (erm... must hear?) audio clips.

The Hunger Site- Definitely worth your two seconds.

Hanson at the North Pole- What the name has to do with anything I couldn't tell you. What you should go here for, however, I know all about. An excellent and varied collection of rare Hanson shots!

Memories From Albertane- I can not begin to count the number of times that I have heard the line: "it was the best night of my life" used in direct relation to a Hanson concert.  This page might not be exactly as great as reliving the glory, but it's pretty dang close.  The continuously growing gallery has pictures from every single show of the tour, as well as scads from other Hanson run-ins in such notorious locales as NYC.

Llama on imagine radio- This excellent service allows you to make your own virtual radio station by choosing which artists get played and how often. Definitely a fun distraction.

Entertainment Online- A newsletter/site run by a male Hanson fan. Go check out interviews he's gotten with Hanson's buddy Ash and AT, then stay for all the other cool features.

X-files fiction hall of shame - this page is to funny for words.  I think we should make one for Hanson fiction.  Some of the intentionally horrifically bad stories are better than your average hanson fanfic.  Ouch.

Webpages that Suck  This is actually a pretty cool page, and quite funny. I now see a lot of Hanson sites (including my own... depressingly enough) in a whole new light.

Kiss This Guy  - While not as intriguing as it first sounds, this site is hysterical. It's all misunderstood lyrics... check out one for 10,000 Maniacs "Because the Night".... someone thought they were saying: "the night was made for llamas" instead of lovers... heehee... yup.

Naked Dancing Llama- prophetic, peanut spitting, god! The coolest llama that's not me.

The Turtle Moves - This utterly un-hanson related page is devoted to an author who has just got to be in the runnings for the funniest man alive: Terry Prattchet.
